This year, the Music Department is (tentatively) visiting Orlando (Disney World)! This is open to all and is completely optional. Note that we will leave on Wednesday night. Thursday is a half day, and Friday is a teacher workday, so students will only miss half a day of school. We will return on Sunday.
For those who participated in the SRO event. Students provide their own transportation. Get there early; the earlier you register, the earlier you play! Be sure to use your own music with your personal markings.
This event is mandatory for all orchestra members. If there is an unsolvable conflict, talk to Ms. Bailey. Runs both A and B block in the auditorium. This will be an informal concert to prepare for assessment. The audience will TJ students who sign up to listen. TJ Orchestra uniforms not required!

We play on Saturday (3/13), students provide their own transportation. TJ Orchestra uniform required (if you are not wearing your uniform, you will likely not play).
For All-State winners. FCPS provides hotel accommodations and transportation to and from the event. Students are required to ride the FCPS TO the event but may provide their own transportation home after the concert if they wish. Concert dress is formal black, NOT TJ concert shirts!
Students perform solos or ensemble pieces (duos, trios, quartets, etc.) to be adjudicated by a judge. Performances begin in the late afternoon and students provide their own transportation.
