Symphonic Auditions (optional)
Incoming freshmen:
• Major Scales: prepare 2 of your choice (3 octaves if possible); any bowing pattern
• Melodic Minor Scales: prepare 2 of your choice (2-3 octaves); any bowing pattern
• A prepared piece of your choice (section not to exceed 3 minutes)
• Required excerpts (posted below)
• Auditions will be submitted as prerecorded videos via this form by 11:59 PM on May 10th.
n.b. Memorization not required for anything
Reminder: No Audition Required for Philharmonia
Rising 10th-12th graders CURRENTLY in TJ Orchestra:
• Those who wish to audition for Symphonic must audition live during lunch or 8th period by May 2nd.
• Prepare the excerpt (posted below)
• You do not need to prepare scales or an extra piece
